Heh heh, thank you. It's very popular, which I find surprising... not because of any sort of quality... but the concept. LOL.

Thank you. I do the fur one stoke at a time using dodge, burn, and a skin tone brush at a single pixel size. I really enjoy doing these and love the way they turn out. It only takes a couple of hours to do.

how do you use the dodge out of curiousity? and the burn, that got me curious

I use it at about 30-50% opacity/strength with a 1 pixel brush. It helps add shadow hairs and highlighted hairs. It can also be used to shade and darken an area to make it look like a realistic shadow or point of light.

LoL. Don't worry, it doesn't take long. I've been thinking about making a tutorial on how to do photomanipulations like I do (If I have time). School is a little too overwhelming for that right now.

how do you make the fur look so real?

I use a high resolution photograph and use the dodge, burn, and smudge tools on a single pixel setting (In Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro). And then I just paint the fur on according to the way the lighting falls on the subject. :)

Yes, it should be done by tomorrow. I was out of town the last two days. It's half-finished already. And the faces will look similar to my other picture "Foxy Lady".
